Princess Birthday Tea Party

On Saturday I hosted a beautiful princess birthday tea party for a sweet little girl and several of her friends.  Her mother requested a princess theme for the party and said she liked pink.  Boy did I have fun with that!
I used lovely pastel shades and did a shabby chic princess theme with lots of pink and some gold accents as well.  I really love how the gold looked with the pinks and blues.
I dressed my mannequin in a pretty pink formal gown and gave her a beautiful princess crown.  The little girls loved it!
The table is so beautiful and fit for a princess!
I love the beautiful princess carriage here!  I filled it with an ivory flower ball and wrapped it with a sweet shabby chic fabric strip I pulled from a remenant I found at a local craft store.
I made some "happy birthday" floral picks using cute shabby chic paper and gold glitter.
I also made some gold crowns from beautiful lace that I stiffened with mod podge, then painted gold and added sparkly gold glitter.

Isn't the little birthday cake cute? I made it from empty ribbon spools, scrapbook paper, tinsel and tissue garland, ribbon, paper flowers, and glitter.  I really love these!
This is a beautiful gold lace crown perfect for a princess!
I set up the buffet with all of the food for the tea party.  I added decorations that coordinated with the tablescape.  I really love how it all turned out!
I dressed my mannequin in a pink formal gown and added a pretty tiara to the top.  The girls really loved her!
I served the girls assorted tea sandwiches, fresh fruit, sugar cookies, and pink princess tea!
I also made some delicious confetti cupcakes with pink cherry icing and gold sprinkles.  I made gold glitter crown picks and added them with some silk roses to the top of each cupcake.
This was princess Charlee's special birthday cupcake.  She got a special birthday pick and a candle on her cupcake.
This is another cute cake I hand-made for the party.  I made a small present from clay and a tiny party horn and glued them to the top of this cake.  I love the little banner over the top of the cake too!
Charlee made a wish and blew out her candle after we sang Happy Birthday to her!
All of the sweet little princesses had lots of fun at the birthday party!
Happy 5th birthday princess Charlee!  We hope you had a special birthday celebration at Southard House that you will remember for your lifetime!

  1. Princess Birthday Tea Party! It looks super cool. I am totally in love with the arrangements and I would love to replicate all of these ideas in my niece’s upcoming birthday party. We have already booked one of the spacious indoor Seattle venues for this day and hoping that it will be an enjoyable event.
